22 STATIONARY CONCEPTS FOR WALLS AND FLOORS 1 High-performance battery moulds ensure maxi- mum system productivity 2 Versatile building systems can be created by using battery moulds for walls and floor slabs 1 2 HIGH PERFORMANCE BATTERY MOULDS High-performance battery moulds are ideal for the vertical production of single-layer, large-area wall and slab elements or other large-area precast con- crete elements with mould-smooth surfaces on both sides. A large mould area is provided on a rela- tively small base area. Shuttering work is minimal and surface area utilization is maximized, which ensure high system productivity. Optional integrated partitions in a chamber enables several concrete elements to be manufac- tured at the same time. The design makes for easy access to the open casting panels and demoulding. Opening and closing the chambers can mechani- cal or electrical. Sophisticated hydraulics for tight- ening the individual casting panels as well as their own stable construction ensures that the hydro- static pressure is absorbed during concreting. A sophisticated vibration system ensures effecti- ve compaction of the concrete. Battery moulds are built in mono or duplex configurations. In the duplex version, the fixed centre casting panel is located between the moveable casting panels so that the relevant chamber sec- tions can be filled independently. Alternatively, semi-mobile battery moulds can be provided if pre- cast concrete production is required near to the construction site.
