17 Battery changing station at HHLA in Hamburg: vollert.de 1 2 BATTERY HANDLING SYSTEMS FOR A NEW E-MOBILITY FULLY AUTOMATED BATTERY TRANSPORT E-mobility is one of today's future topics and the megatrend par excellence. From a global perspec- tive, by 2030 both hybrid and purely electric vehic- les will increasingly displace the combustion en- gine and dominate more than 50% of the market. Only if we master the associated tasks and develop new, innovative and, above all, future- oriented mobility concepts, we will be able to find answers to topics as climate change and the mo- bility of the next generations. In tomorrow's auto- motive production, as well as in new manufactu- ring methods for new, even more powerful lithium- ion batteries or in the development of a networked infrastructure of battery charging stations, new intralogistics concepts will be required, to which we at Vollert already offer solutions today. Spe- cial hoists in modern crane systems or new types of stacker cranes for replacing battery baskets weighing several tons have shown that our answers to tomorrow's challenges are there. Whether it's loading and exchanging XXL batteries weighing several tons or automated de- livery of batteries by rail for e-vehicle production - Vollert provides suitable solutions and uses its decades of know-how in heavy-duty intralogistics for simple, fast and safe handling of sensitive loads. 1 With four new battery changing stations, Vollert is supplying a central building block for the world's first two soot-, CO 2 - and nitrogen oxide-free container terminals at the Maasvlakte 2 port site in Rotterdam 2 The regular replacement of the 12 t batteries at Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA) in Hamburg is carried out by a fully automatic battery changing station from Vollert
