20 HEAVY-DUTY TRANSFER CARRIAGES AND TRAVELLING PLATFORMS 1 Heavy-duty transfer carriages can carry extremely heavy materials 2 Special travelling platform by Vollert VERSATILITY AND MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY For the company-internal transport of heavy loads, Vollert can provide and install rail-bound transport vehicles and heavy load handling equipment for all application areas, e.g. for steel and iron works, the aluminum industry, the railway industry or in rail- way wagon manufacturing. Transport carriages with lifting capacities up to 300 t for scrap baskets, slabs or coils are also part of the product range. Gantry/trough travelling platforms, indoor and outdoor travelling platforms, recessed or over- ground routed travelling platforms are used when rail vehicles or their components must be moved on tracks with only minimal spatial requirements. Vollert modernizes and manufactures travelling platforms up to a length of 36 m and a load bearing capacity of up to 200 t.
